Shipping policy
Shipping & Delivery
Once you place an order, you will receive an email confirmation acknowledging receipt of your order.
Orders are generally dispatched within 1–2 business days after payment has been received. You will receive a dispatch email once your order has been posted.
Please note: a paper receipt is not included in your parcel, as your order confirmation and receipt are sent via email.
Custom or personalised orders may take longer to dispatch. Estimated turnaround times will be discussed and confirmed with you directly via email.
Domestic Shipping (Ireland)
Orders within Ireland are generally sent via An Post Standard Post and typically arrive within 2–7 working days after dispatch.
Standard shipping does not include tracking or guaranteed delivery dates.
Tracked shipping is available at checkout. If you select tracked shipping, your tracking number will be emailed to you once your order has been dispatched. Please allow a few hours for tracking updates to appear on the An Post website.
Please note that during busy periods such as Christmas, Mother’s Day, or other seasonal peaks, delivery times may be longer than usual.
Shipping Rates
- Flat rate standard shipping within Ireland: €4.40
- Free standard shipping on orders over €85 & €100 to NI
Local Collection
At this time, we do not offer local collection or drop-off services. All orders are shipped by post.
International Shipping
International orders are shipped via An Post and include tracking as standard.
You will receive a tracking number by email once your parcel has been dispatched.
Estimated delivery times are typically between 2–4 weeks depending on destination and customs processing times.
Tracking costs vary depending on location and are calculated during checkout.
Customs & Import Taxes
Buyers are responsible for any customs charges, import duties, taxes, or fees that may apply in their country.
The Messy Brunette Ltd is not responsible for delays caused by customs, as these are outside our control.
Please ensure your shipping address is entered correctly at checkout. If an order is returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address, additional postage costs for re-shipping the parcel will be the responsibility of the customer.
If delivery is attempted while you are unavailable, your postal service may leave a collection notice or “Something For You” card with instructions for collection.
Buying as a Gift
Sending directly to the recipient? No problem.
We are happy to include a personalised gift note with your order at no extra charge. Simply add your message in the “notes box” section during checkout.
Please note this service does not apply to electronic gift cards, which are delivered directly by email.
Lost Parcels
Parcels are considered officially lost after the following timescales from dispatch:
- Ireland: 10 working days
- UK & Europe: 20 working days
- Rest of World: 30 working days
If your parcel has not arrived after these timescales, please contact us and we will do our best to resolve the issue through a replacement or refund where appropriate.
Please ensure your address details are accurate when placing your order. Additional postage costs resulting from incorrect address information will be the responsibility of the customer.
Damaged Parcels
We want you to be happy with your order.
If your parcel or its contents arrive damaged, please contact us within 5 working days of delivery.
Photographs of the damaged packaging and item(s) will be required so we can assess the issue, arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate, and assist with any postal claims.
Custom & Personalised Orders
Custom and personalised items are non-refundable and non-exchangeable once purchased unless:
- The item arrives damaged
- The parcel is lost in transit
- An error has been made with your order by us
Please note:
- Full payment is required before dispatch
- Custom orders are sent using tracked shipping
- Customers are responsible for return postage costs where applicable
