Returns & Exchanges Policy

At The Messy Brunette Ltd, we hope you love your order. However, if something isn’t quite right, we do accept returns and exchanges under certain conditions.

Proof of purchase is required for all returns and exchanges.

Your Right to Cancel

Under EU consumer law, customers purchasing online have the right to cancel their order within 14 days of delivery of the last item in your order without giving any reason. We will issue your refund within 14 days of receiving the returned items, to your original payment method.

To exercise your right to cancel:

  • Please contact us within 14 days of delivery.
  • Items must be returned within 14 days of notifying us.

Returned items must be unused, unworn, and in their original condition and packaging.

You can also use our Right of Withdrawal Form to notify us of your cancellation

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or faulty:

  • Earrings and other pierced jewellery - excluded for hygiene reasons where the item was supplied sealed and the seal has been broken after delivery.
  • Custom or personalised orders
  • Gift cards

Refunds

Once your returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you by email regarding the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 14 days of us receiving your returned item.

Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

Exchanges

If you would like to exchange an item, please contact us within 14 days of delivery.

Items must be returned in their original condition, with no signs of wear or damage & all with the original packaging.

The customer is responsible for:

  • Return shipping costs
  • Shipping costs for sending the replacement item

Once the returned item has been received and inspected, your replacement item will be posted.

If exchanging for an item of lower value, the difference will be refunded. If exchanging for an item of higher value, payment of the difference will be required before dispatch.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs where possible, and we will do our best to resolve the issue promptly.

International Returns

For returns outside Ireland, any customs charges, duties, or import fees incurred will be deducted from the final refund amount where applicable.

We strongly recommend using a tracked postal service when returning items, as we cannot be responsible for returns lost in transit.

Stockist Purchases

Only items purchased directly through our website can be returned or exchanged through The Messy Brunette Ltd.

If your item was purchased through one of our stockists, please contact the stockist directly regarding their returns policy.
